WE COACH CHURCHES

“Wherever you are, our team is here to help.”

Taking steps toward disability inclusion does not always mean starting a full-blown ministry — for some, it may just look like talking to your greeters about disability etiquette; for others, it may mean doing outreach with a nearby school to connect with students and families impacted by disability in your community.

We recognize that every church has different needs and assets, so we work with you to make a feasible plan that best fits your church’s vision and values.

“Let us help you discern what accessibility changes God may be calling you to.”

How it works:

  • Send us an email to request a cohort in your city or register to join us!

  • We recommend assembling a small group of at least 2-3 representatives from your church to learn together at the next cohort. However, if it's just you, that’s okay too!

  • We offer cohort-style coaching both in-person and online.

After you attend a cohort, if you are interested in further coaching we would love to walk with you further. We would love to come visit your service on a Sunday morning so that we can provide the most effective coaching guidance and experience!

  • We walk with you from A-Z as you take steps towards growth in disability inclusion. As we navigate the IMP course with you, we’ll hold your hand until you’re ready to let go.

“Let’s not be the reason families affected by disability are not able to meet together among other believers.”

Through in-person and virtual cohort-style coaching The Banquet Network will walk your church through a step-by-step process to create a contextualized plan for disability inclusion. We will also guide you through a tool we like to call the IMP (Individualized Ministry Plan). Our IMP is inspired by the IEP’s (Individualized Education Plan) often seen in the school system for students who have disabilities.

The IMP begins by evaluating how disability intersects with your church’s mission and values. Then, using our Accessibility Survey, and other Banquet Network resources, our IMP training will assess your church’s relational, physical, and emotional barriers and assets in hopes that holistic inclusion may occur. Finally, the IMP will guide your church as you prioritize, set, and achieve goals to effectively move your church in the direction of disability inclusion.

After attending a cohort, churches will have the option to pursue further, individualized coaching.
