TBN offers microgrants to qualifying churches by invitation to help support and strengthen disability ministry within their congregations. Below, you’ll find helpful information about the microgrant process, eligibility, and next steps.

The Banquet Network’s small grants of up to $500 are designed to “resource” churches to reach, serve, and include people who have disabilities. We invite churches to apply for small grants for reducing barriers and becoming more inclusive of individuals and families affected by disability. We believe that every church – no matter what their resources should be able to take steps toward “inviting the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind” into the banquet feast of the kingdom of God (Luke 14:13). No church is too small (or too under-resourced) to include people who have disabilities.

The Banquet Network offers grant applications by invitation only to churches that:

Are in relationship with The Banquet Network, i.e., the church is receiving coaching or training from The Banquet Network
Have leadership support within the church for disability ministry
Indicate financial barriers to disability inclusion
Demonstrate a willingness to invest in their resources (time, talent, space, etc.) to include people with disabilities
Are Christ-centered, willing to affirm The Banquet Network's Doctrinal Statement, and provide their own statement of faith, along with the application

Purchase of easy-to-read bibles and discipleship curriculum
Sensory items for starting a sensory room or respite ministry
Building a ramp to the fellowship hall

Application Process

Reply to The Banquet Network’s invitation, indicating that an application will be coming
Email a completed application packet by May 1 or November 1 for the spring or fall grant cycle, which must include:
a.Signed Cooperation Agreement (PDF, or online form)
b.Your church’s Statement of Faith
c.Three pages from your church’s IMP: Church Information Page, Current State of Disability Ministry Page, Barriers & Challenges Page
d. Project Proposal containing:
i.Project Rationale (1 paragraph)
ii.Project Summary (3-5 sentences)
iii.Project Overview (outlining the tasks/events of your project & their intended impact on people with disabilities)
iv. Project Budget using our template
e.Support letter from the pastoral staff indicating:
i.Vision for disability ministry/engagement
ii.Support for this project
iii.Financial need for the grant funds

Board and staff of The Banquet Network review applications based on The Banquet Network Grant Approval rubric (page 3) each fall and spring.
Awards are announced by July 1 and January 1 stst
Awards are dispersed upon the church scheduling their post-project meeting with The
Banquet Network

Projects must be completed and all grant-awarded funds spent within 6 months
A Project Report must be presented at the Post-Project meeting with The Banquet Network (scheduled at the time of award announcement)
Reports and meetings may be shared for future applicants’ reference, testimonials, and other media
